My Bird of the Year
Welches war der erste Vogel, den Ihr am Neujahrsmorgen gesehen habt?
Ich habe Stieglitze in meinem Garten am Futterhäuschen beobachtet.
Das ist also mein persönlicher Vogel des neuen Jahres, den ich jetzt gerne noch genauer studieren möchte!
Einiges weiß ich schon, z.B., dass sie gerne Samen fressen, daher auch der Name „Distelfink“ und sie halten sich offensichtlich gerne in Schwärmen auf.

What was the first bird you saw on New Year’s morning?
I have observed goldfinches in my garden at the bird feeder.
So this is my personal bird of the new year, which I would now like to study even more closely!
I already know some things, e.g. that they like to eat seeds, hence the German name „Distelfink“ and they obviously like to stay in swarms.
