Another Kind of Herbarium
Oft finde ich nicht die Zeit, unterwegs an Ort und Stelle zu zeichnen oder zu schreiben.
Dann greife ich gerne auf meine gesammelten Blüten, Blätter und andere Pflanzenteile zurück, die ich zu Hause getrocknet habe.
Und zwar nicht klassisch gepresst, sondern offen, so dass die Dreidimensionalität der Pflanze erhalten bleibt.
Es ist erstaunlich, was für filigrane Strukturen beim Trocknen von Pflanzen hervortreten und was für feinste Farbnuancen erhalten bleiben!
Tipp
Am besten trocknet ihr Eure Pflanzen für ein 3D Herbarium auf saugfähigem Küchenpapier in einem trockenen Raum ohne direkten Lichteinfall, damit die Farben nicht ausbleichen!
I often don’t find the time to draw or write on the spot on the go.
Then I like to fall back on my collected flowers, leaves and other plant parts that I have dried at home.
And not traditionally pressed, but open, so that the three-dimensionality of the plant is preserved.
It is amazing what filigree structures emerge when plants are dried and what finest color nuances are retained!
Tip
It is best to dry your plants for a 3D herbarium on absorbent kitchen paper in a dry room without direct incidence of light so that the colors do not fade!
