Tapestry of my Garden
Während der Lockdowns in der Corona Pandemie war ich noch mehr draußen unterwegs und habe noch mehr Naturfundstücke gesammelt als sonst.
Für diese Werkreihe habe ich vor allem Pflanzen aus meinem Garten trocknen lassen, allerdings nicht gepresst, um sie ihrer Dreidimensionalität nicht zu berauben.
Es entstanden filigrane Gebilde mit vielfältigen Linien und zarten Farbschattierungen.
Die getrockneten Pflanzen kamen besonders auf dem Leuchttisch zur Geltung.
Dort habe ich sie auf Tischkantenhöhe mit dem Makroobjektiv mft 60 mm mit wechselndem Fokus fotografiert, um die skulpturale Wirkung zu unterstreichen.
Das Durchlicht und die Makrolinse machen Strukturen der Pflanzen sichtbar, die wir mit dem bloßen Auge gar nicht wahrnehmen.
Ein Wandteppich durch die Jahreszeiten der anderen Art entwickelte sich, der die Schönheit des Übergangs zeigt.
Übergang zwischen den Jahreszeiten, und auch Übergänge zwischen den verschiedenen Stadien einer Pflanze in ihrem Lebenszyklus.

During the lockdowns in the corona pandemic, I was out and about even more and collected more natural finds than usual.
For this series of works I mainly let plants from my garden dry, but not pressed them so as not to rob them of their three-dimensionality.
Filigree structures with diverse lines and delicate shades of color were created.
The dried plants were particularly effective on the light table.
There I photographed them at table edge height with the 60 mm mft macro lens with changing focus to underline the sculptural effect.
The transmitted light and the macro lens make structures of the plants visible that we cannot even see with the naked eye.
A tapestry through the seasons of a different kind was evolving, showing the beauty of transition.
Transition between the seasons, as well as transitions between the various stages of a plant in its life cycle.
